Peeling varies from light flaking to moderate shedding. Most clients experience heaviest peeling on days 3–5, finishing by day 7. Mild dryness may last up to 2 weeks. Under-eye area may appear temporarily more wrinkled. What is the aftercare? Avoid sweating for 3–4 days Do not pick at peeling skin Post-care products provided How many treatments will I need? Yes — VI Peels are gentle enough for sensitive skin and rosacea. Your skin will be evaluated throughout the process to ensure comfort and safety. Who should avoid a VI Peel? Pregnant or breastfeeding clients Those with aspirin or phenol allergies Clients with active eczema, psoriasis, or severely dry skin Can I wear makeup after a VI Peel? The aftercare instructions provided by the company will suggest that you can wear makeup 4 hours after a VI Peel is applied. I strongly advise against wearing makeup until you are done peeling because taking off makeup will require more cleansing and rubbing of the skin than is ideal. Excess rubbing of the skin can lead for premature peeling, pigmentation, and sensitivity.
